HANFOD – NETWORKED LEARNING – 2021
10 – 11 June 2021, Cardiff, Wales

BSP members Felicity Healey-Benson and Mike Johnson are organising a 2-day event to be held in Cardiff, 10 & 11 June 2021.

Since 1998, the biennial International Conference on Networked Learning has provided a forum for the critical analysis of all kinds of research in this educational field which focuses on relational and interactional aspects of learning with, through or in spite of technology! Phenomenological research has featured only occasionally, even though the conference axiology is emancipatory and egalitarian.

Felicity and Mike aim to grow phenomenology within networked learning research, supported financially by the Networked Learning Conference Consortium, with facilitation by Professors Cathy Adams and Nina Bonderup Dohn. Plans for the event include a Petcha Kutcha session entitled, ‘Voices from the River’, drawing upon Heidegger’s analogy, that doing phenomenology, like learning to swim, requires one to get in the water.

If you have experience of conducting phenomenological research along networked learning themes, Felicity and Mike warmly encourage you to consider attending and presenting.
