BSP members Felicity Healey-Benson and Mike Johnson are organising a live online ‘Phenomenology of Practice’ workshop, 10 & 11 June 2021 1pm-4.30pm, both days led by Prof Cathy Adams, Alberta.

Since 1998, the biennial International Conference on Networked Learning has provided a forum for the critical analysis of all kinds of research in this educational field which focuses on relational and interactional aspects of learning with, through or in spite of technology! Phenomenological research has featured only occasionally, even though the conference axiology is emancipatory and egalitarian.

The live event was to feature a Petcha Kutcha session, but this has morphed into a video project entitled, ‘Lleisiau o’r Afon’ – ‘Voices from the River’, drawing upon Heidegger’s analogy, that doing phenomenology, like learning to swim, requires one to get in the water. If you have experience of conducting phenomenological research along networked learning themes, Felicity and Mike warmly encourage you to contribute short videos using this form: https://forms.office.com/r/1SbPJ1tdag or could briefly interview you (as with Rikke Toft Nørgård https://youtu.be/OYU4LDuod4U)?
