Visiting Fellowships in Applied Phenomenology

Research unit: Movement, Culture and Society
Danish Institute for Advanced Study
University of Southern Denmark

Visiting fellowships in applied phenomenology are available at the Danish Institute for Advanced Study and the research unit, Movement, Culture and Society at University of Southern Denmark. Eligible candidates should have received their PhD no more than eight years prior to September 2023 (note that this is an expanded eligibility window from the previous round). They should work in phenomenology and have an interest in conducting empirical qualitative research—although they don’t need prior experience conducting qualitative research.

The purpose of the visiting fellowship is to provide initial mentorship and support to those who would like to apply for external postdoctoral funding to take up a position at University of Southern Denmark. Successful applicants will receive approx. €3,500 to cover a one-month stay while they work with mentors to develop their project proposal.

Full information about the application and eligibility criteria can be downloaded here.

Additional information about the program, including past fellows, can be found here.

Applicants from the previous round are welcome to reapply. Feedback on previous applications can be provided upon request. If you have any questions, please reach out to Anthony Vincent Fernandez at [email protected].
